If you are one of those who simply files your nails with the file on your nail clipper, perhaps you can consider using a something that is created specially for the job.

Nail files are what you would use to trim down the length of your nails as well as smoothen the edge of the nails after you have clipped them. 

Buffers on the other hand are used on the surface of your nails whether to prep them for a manicure or to give them a glossy shine without using any sort of polish.




When it comes to choosing files, it is important to understand the term 'grit'. The lower the grit value, the coarser the surface of the nail file is.
