Tool~Lint free wipes

Lint free wipes appear to be all the rage among professionals when it comes to getting the perfect looking nail job. It is for a good reason though. They are wonderful for the removal of nail polish and also for wiping down post curing as they do not leave fibres on the nail.

For the same reason, lint free wipes are also great for cleaning of tools and general tidying of nails in the process of a manicure or pedicure.

Tools~Cuticle pusher



Cuticle pushers, as the name suggests, are instruments that are used to push the cuticles on our nails. Many find that nails look nicer and and even slightly longer when they push back on their cuticles.

Cuticle pushers can also  be used to not just push, but scrape of the dead skin at the cuticle and under the nails as well. Popular choices besides the metal cuticle pusher include orange wood sticks and hoof sticks.

If there is still leftover stubborn skin that are not removable with the stick tools, a pair of cuticle nippers should be used.

To create longer nails, you can either choose to use tips or build them with gel or acrylic. By using nail forms, you can create beautiful and strong nails that look amazingly like natural nails.

A paper nail form like the above, has adhesive on one side and allows you to wrap and stick it around your finger so that you can build structure with it.

Tools~Flat brush

Tools~Striping brush


Striping brushes have very little hair. It comes in a few lengths but they all typically have very little hair in order to draw long lines. Lines of different widths can be created by applying different pressure while painting as well as manipulating the amount of paint used.

Tools~Dotting tool


The dotting tool is, well, used to makes dots.

The tip of this instrument comes a few sizes to create dots of different sizes.
