Y~Yummy

Yummy. Delectable. Heavenly. Delicious.
Words that one would normally not associate with fingernails but that is exactly what we are doing today.

YUMMY FINGERNAILS.

Yummy nail art to be precise.

The great thing about nails is that they really are blank canvasses and we are free to do whatever that comes to mind with them. In today's case, we present you nail designs that will whet your appetite!

A lot of nail enthusiasts love to use the ready to be sliced and used, FIMO sticks or do free hand drawings.

But you can always add your own twist into yummy nail art designs by painting your personal favourite foods or even glueing on miniature food models! I personally feel mini kuih nyonya on nails would be the cutest!

What's your favourite food?

W~WONDER WOMAN

Picture from geekscape.net

While some of us may not have actually read the comic or seen the lady in action on tv, it may be hard to find someone who does not recognise
this iconic DC Comics super heroine.

With her Lasso of Truth, a pair or indestructable bracelets, an invisible jet and others, Wonder Woman goes about fighting for justice,
love and peace clad in her ultra sexy costume.

In 2011, MAC released a Wonder Woman themed collection which includes make up products as well as nail polishes.

Now before we attempt to emulate her kick-ass superhero spirit, lets
kick things off by getting a Wonder Woman inspired nail makeover!

You could take the easy and awesome route by using nail stickers!

V~Vampires

Stop hiding from the allure of vampires.

From Bram Stoker's Dracula to the Twilight craze a few years back and more plots involving vampires television programs even today, these blood-sucking stories are undeniably still very much attractive.

They have always been intriguing and probably always will.

It is much too early for Halloween but who says you can't have some fun when it isn't?

Have a bloody good time trying out these vampire-inspired nails!

U~UV LAMP

With the popularity of gel nails, we are hearing more and more frequently the terms UV as well as LED lamps.

These lamps are used to solidify and cure the gel-type nail polish used, giving nails the rock hard sturdy reputation that gel manicures are known for.

UV lamps can be used to cure all types of gel nail polish where as LED lamps only cure polishes that are formulated for LED technology.

UV lamps emits ultra violet light and this has sparked concerns regarding its safety from being a cause of cancer to skin ageing and sun spots.

In 2012, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston  reported that it would take 250 years of weekly gel manicures to equal the exposure of one session with an FDA-approved UV phototherapy lamp, a device that doctors widely consider safe.

With that concern in mind, gel manicure lovers can always choose to protect themselves!
