T~TAPE

Simple and striking

These two words are sufficient to describe the kind of designs
that you can come up with nail art tapes.

Nail art tapes are very narrow in width, comes in a variety of metallic colours and are usually available for purchase in stacks of 10s or more.

Some also paint over these thin strips of tape to make intricate patterns but they are wonderful embellishments to add
a little something special to your nails.

S~SALT

There really seem to be no limit
to what we can come up with to put onto our nails.
From bold, shiny rhinestones to almost strange fur-like finish,
the choices are abundant.

Instead of going out and buying something to embellish your nails,
this time may we suggest you use something that should be
available in your kitchen right now?

SALT!

Some suggest that this form of nail art can be done with sugar but we think that you should just stick to salt for one plain reason;

so that you can avoid the possibility of waking up to two handfuls of ants!

Watch the video to see how you can do it too at home!

R~Rods

Did you know that you could decorate your nails with rods

Not actual rods of course, but nail art polymer clay in the form of sticks that require careful slicing before they can actually be used.

Nail art rods/canes/sticks are commonly known FIMO rods/canes/sticks although FIMO is actually a brand under Staedler.

Learn how to create your own version of funky FIMO rod nail art from these videos!

You could also use FIMO rods for other decorating purposes like spicing up the mirrors at home or giving your scrap book a burst of colour.
A little imagination really goes a long way.

A word of caution, FIMO rods do not taste as good as they look!

Q~Quick Dry

I think it is safe to say that most of us have had been in a scenario whereby we dent or smudge or somehow damage our freshly completed manicures and pedicures.

Frustrating, we know.

But did you know that there are ways to dry your nails faster, some only requiring things you probably already have at home?
And I am not talking about quick drying nail polishes here.

For starters, there are products in the market that will do the job such as...

    ドリップドライ 1oz(30ml)     ラピドライ 4oz(120ml) スプレー
OPI Drip Dry nail drop                            OPI Rapidry Spray

        10%OFF*ハーフタイムドライ1oz(30ml)
QTICA 1/2 Time Polish Drying Accelerator                       Essie quick-e Drying Drops

And then there are the 'home remedies'.

  1. Freeze them dry! Stick your hands into the freezer or submerge them into ice-cold water for a few minutes.
  2. Blow dry the nails with a hair-dryer on the cool setting or lowest setting. Remember NOT to use the hot setting because heat will slow down the drying process.
  3. Spray it! PAM cooking spray is touted as one of the best to dry nails with.
  4. Paint it thin. It is faster to paint a thin layer, let dry and repeat a few times than to paint two thick layers.

Although it seems that the effectiveness may depend on the brands
of nail polishes, these easy-peasy methods are definitely worth
the try for longer lasting at-home nail sessions.
